Dr. Christi Cook is a board certified Mount Pleasant and Charleston OB GYN providing care for patients throughout the Tri County. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Originally from Orlando, Florida; Dr. Cook primarily grew up in North Carolina where she attended Appalachian State University for her undergraduate degree. She pursued her medical education at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University where she graduated with honors. Dr. Cook completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. Upon completion of residency, she was in private practice in Memphis, Tennessee for 5 years until she was recruited back to Charleston in 2005.
Patients visiting Dr. Cook can receive a full range of gynecological services. Her areas of professional interest include preconceptual counseling, recurrent miscarriage evaluation, advanced laparoscopy including laparoscopic hysterectomy, and minimally invasive treatments for abnormal uterine bleeding. She is also a certified menopause clinician through the North American Menopause Society and specializes in hormone replacement therapy and bioidentical hormone therapy options.
When she is not treating patients, Dr. Cook enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Dr. Cook is a mother of two adorable children, Marshall and Madeline. She is active in their school and church activities. Dr. Cook enjoys exercising, reading, gardening, and cooking!
